For the mechanical design, we created a AutoCAD project. Having a 3D Model with both of the boxes that will represent the Sensor Tower and Repeater Tower.
Since the boxes consist of two parts that will be fitted and secured one on top of the other, separate models were created for each part.
The fitting mechanism wasnt included in the models, as the boxs default locking mechanism is going to be used. Therefore, only the shape of the boxes was considered.
The bottom of the box just need one opening for the soil humidity sensor
The top part of the box was more complex. Most of the holes will be made in this section, along with the addition of a small compartment, open on the botton, that will be attached to the outside of the box. Inside this compartment, the temperature and humidity sensors will be placed.
